Made a couple more in yellow 2×4 brick with blue plate and one with red plate.

You can barely see a hole on the one with the blue plate. That hole is for the LED activity light.
Personally, I like the yellow with red plate.

Having fun with the flash drive!

I was searching for some ideas on a Christmas present for my girlfriend in December 2007 when I came across someone who has crafted a USB flash drive into a LEGO® brick (link). I thought that is a really great idea. So I started to souce for a really small USB flash drive.

I made a prototype out of an old 2×4 red brick to test that the glue and such don’t destroy the flash drive, I made one out of a yellow brick for her. She loved it.
When I used my USB flash drive in front of my friends, collegue, clients, etc. They were all very amazed and asked where I bought it. I told them that you can’t buy these and they pestered me to make them. That’s how I started making these little bundles of joy.
